Thanks for the welcome back. Man, school has been rough and there are so many papers due that it feels like I barely ever have time.

Yay demanding semesters. It's very lame. Yay for studying Japanese though? That is an interesting class. Our teacher is from Pakistan though.

Pakistani Japanese instructor? That's kind of odd. Oh well. How is Japanese? I hear it's very difficult.

I don't like Spanish. It's too fast and never made much sense to me. Spanish class sucked. I took 3 years of Spanish, and I don't know how to speak one sentence.

Here's the thing with learning languages: trying to learn a language in a class setting absolutely sucks. You typically aren't completely into it, and the class really only teaches basic stuff and teaches usages that most people fluent in the language don't even use. The best way to learn a language is to have the motivation to learn the language, and learn it on your own with some language software (Rosetta Stone seems most popular). If you have the motivation and the learning software, it will be SIGNIFICANTLY easier to learn a new language.

It depends on whose teaching my professor makes sure to call on everyone several times every class and that kind makes do the work so you don't look like a moron. I am learning quiet a bit the class actually but it's like you said Mike you have to be into it which I am.

Same reason for me it's required. To be honest though the language I would really like to learn is German.

I actually have a variety of languages I want to learn. Italian, German, French, Japanese (yay learning it), maybe Spanish because it might help me get a good job, and Russian.

You should try German then, Jeremy...if you really want to, and are determined to learn the language and feel a connection to it, you will succeed.
