Jive: Shiiiiit, maaaaan. That honky muf' be messin' mah old lady... got to be runnin' cold upside down his head, you know? Translated: Golly that white fellow should stay away from my wife... or I will punch him.
Jive: Hey, you know what they say: see a broad to get dat booty yak 'em... leg 'er down a smack 'em yak 'em! Translated: Early to bed early to rise, makes a man healthy, wealthy and wise!
Hope that was good enough for you.

That's pretty good. I understood part of the first one but the second one I couldn't figure out.

It makes perfect sense to me. Maybe you should take a jive class... It may help.

I should consider it but they do not offer it at my college. It would be interesting though.

Jeremy is the second person to fail my 15 word challenge. I am disappointed in you as well, but not as much as Mike. Conglaturations!

Fail with pride? How do you do that? So Pete are you actually counting these? Just wondering.

Yes I am. Every post has been counted so far. You've done good so far, Ms. 17.

I'm trying to see if I can do it. It is a pain because I'm forcing myself to come up with stuff to reach the 15 word mark. I don't back down from a challenge most of the time.

Good for you. I don't back away from a challenge either. I wish you the best of luck.

But what about the part where you better yourself from a failure? Do you do that part, or just skip it?

Word count? What are we, in Dr. Dwyer's class again? Quotas? What are we, some government agency? No, we are DUMB FARKS. My post was not of the fifteen word variety, but it was a post that got the job done. I wanted elaboration on ebonics, nothing more. If I added more, it would be some BS sentence like "I am really interested in ebonics." Now, is that necessary? No. All I wanted was elaboration. It's simple: We have some word count quota, we ultimately can hinder the quality of posts as well by putting filler in our posts.
"It is a pain because I'm forcing myself to come up with stuff to reach the 15 word mark." This pretty much sums it up. Rose has her point, and it is likely a perfect point with the ability to generate a reply the same length as her "filler" post. Therefore, as you would say it, post quotas are dumb. Good day.

But... But, Mike, it's just a fun challenge. And it's just here on this thread. It's not like 15 words is a lot.
