All these threads, and no Dragon Ball at all? Come on, lol. Seriously, how many people were into it at least in one point in time? I was hooked forever. Anyway, this topic is ancient, so I thought I'd try to revive it with a good thread.

Yeah. GT wasn't that good. Apparently it was done by someone else, and is non-canon. Omega Shenron however, was a total badass.

The manga is amazing. Thats what came first. Dragonball was created by Akira Toriyama(artist of games like Dragon Quest, and Crono Trigger, and a lot of others that you can just see from the style that its him) and Dragonball was originally only Dragonball, it involved no Z. Then like every manga, they created an anime out of it. Anime usually stick to the same story but often have fillers. The filler episodes are there to take up time for the manga to get more chapters. A manga chapter comes out once every week, and the anime usually doesn't start too soon after the manga comes out, thus since Anime episodes consist of more then one manga chapter, it usually catches up fairly quick.
Anyways, Akira created the manga with definitely a more martial arts feel to it. And even in Dragonball Z it wasn't as fast paced as you see in the Anime, and instead of waiting 5 episodes for Goku to become Super Saiyan 3, it only takes 1 page to read, meaning its more epic.
So after, I donno how many years, he ended Z. And although people say that GT is un-canon, it was started out by Akira he gave them all of their ideas, and told them where the story should go roughly. Even though he did that, he didn't stand over them and watch them to make sure they didn't mess anything up like he did with Dragonball and Z. So of course there are a lot of things people dont' like, and creating a lot of contradicting factors.
Anyways, thats my rant on Dragonball, it gets too much of a bad rep for the lame anime(which is better half of the crap out today), so go read the manga if you really wanna see it in its better, and true form.
(P.S. My posts aren't proof-read, so any spelling errors and all of that will exist, and its because of my laziness to re-read what I write)

Well there are two manga for Blue Dragon, one created by the artist that did Death note, and another artist that I have no idea about.
The manga created by the artist of Death Note, is amazing, I love every chapter of it. I just came out and is only around 15, but once it gets farther there should be an anime and such.

there's manga for it? Awesome! I might consider it if the game is as good as it looks..

Well the manga created by the artist of Death note is a slightly different story to the game, mainly because the main characters are different. But read it, its worth it.

I bought DB 01-13 DVD set a while back at walmart. Good buy, btw. Only 5 dollars. I love it to death. I couldn't wait to see what would happen every episode. I always meant to buy the rest of the show on dvd, but I went into Suncoast and asked the guy and he laughed cause I wanted such an old show....lol.
I just bought the DBZ Season 1 Set that was just redone and released in February. Havent made it through episode one yet lol. I still want to see the rest of DB. I've hardly seen a portion of it. 13 episodes isn't much.
