I do too. AMC makes gems, and the series is so very promising. Like I said, character development in zombie storylines is a very good thing in my opinion. I have been pleasantly surprised by how good The Walking Dead is.

It's gonna be a good premiere night. Too bad it prolly coincides with Bored to Death, but hey, we could always rewatch that another time. I'm excited for the series now.

Yeah, I saw this too. I'm getting more and more hyped as Halloween inches closer. Cool stuff, and it's nice to know that most of us are very familiar with the plot.
...Although, it was interesting when we went to see Kick-Ass and Scott Pilgrim, and only some of us being familiar with the comics and extended plot. Different perspectives were had indeed.

Well you know even though the t.v. show will always stay on track with the comics it will still branch off from them quite a bit at times to keep the experience fresh for people who follow along with the comics so there will still be things unfamiliar with us that we'd still be able to share our perspectives on about how something will turn out or how they'll go about tying those points in with the comics. You know maybe they'll keep us guessing at points. At least I hope and presume so anyways. I mean that's what it sounded like what they wanted to do with the show so hopefully they stay true to that. Of course what's most important to me though is that they stay true to the comics too!

Yeah...the first three volumes are essentially being dragged out, so we certainly do have new things in store for us.

First episode was pretty great. Lots of drama. And it's so nice to see a serious zombie action.

Yeah, and I liked all the parts added in that were not in the comic book. AMC definitely knows what it is doing with this series.

Walking Dead sets ratings record! Via IGN: Dead managed to pull in a 3.7 HH rating netting over 5.3 total million viewers making it the largest audience for any original series on the network. 3.6 million of those viewers were a part of the coveted Adults 18-49 demographic - making it the highest delivery for any cable series premiere for 2010.
Now we just need to wait until they announce Season 2.

Damn those are some nice ratings, this show is simply incredible. First episode was great, the seemingly "slow pace" (much like a zombie ah hah hah) was all a part of building up the foundations of the show and it worked very well. We got to see a lot more Morgan and his son than what we saw in the comic at the beginning. I loved the tension with Morgan unable to shoot his zombified wife co-siding with Rick killing the decrepit zombie torso and putting it out of its "misery". It almost goes to show that Rick is a man who takes action when faced with conflict which he is and will face in the series just like in the comics. Also the very beginning scene before the flashback where Rick takes out the little zombie girl with no cutaways totally tells me this show does NOT fuck around. We're gonna get everything in all its horrific glory.
