Once you get a PS3, I will let you borrow it for sure Jon. Every game did have quite the story. Song of Liberty was pretty crazy, but the story ultimately made sense in the end (for the most part).

I was pretty amazed by how well MGS 4 tied things up. I wasn't sure how Kojima was going to do it, but it happened, and it was phenomenal. One of the best endings to a series that I've ever known, and I doubt it'll get topped by much.
Also, the music in the entire series really adds the effect to so many scenes. I was taking another look at a few things in MGS 3 and 4, and though the scene was great, the music made it so much better than it already was.

I really wouldn't say it tied things up that well. I mean, it all felt lazy.
NANOMACHINES! Nanomachines were used as a dues ex machina, because Kojima had written himself into a hole.
How can Vamp die and come back? Oh nanomachines. Then how does he run on water? Uhhhhh...
I don't know why they felt the need to justify Vamp as a normal person by using nanomachines. I didn't need a reason for why a man can shoot bees. BEES!
So yeah I hate the nanomachine plot. But I guess it gets the job done.
Also for the record, I like MGS4.

Yeah, still a brilliant game, as we have mentioned. The nanomachine trump card was overused, but it didn't weigh down the overall story too badly. After MGS2, it must have been incredibly difficult to think of something to continue the plot. Kojima wasn't going to come out with a completely clean story after his borderline trolling with the second game, but overall, he did alright. Gameplay was certainly better, but yeah, story suffers a bit. I think most people here would agree that 1 and 3 have the best story?
