Well, on a national scale, Republicans now have control of the House of Representatives. Democrats still have the Senate, but not overwhelmingly. It was a clear sign that voters were not happy with how the country is being run in Congress, and also a reflection of how people view the President.
...I'm okay with this, personally. Perhaps now both parties can work together a little better to resolve issues. They will have to, after all, or nothing will ever pass. If we keep playing radical, one branch of congress will pass something, the other will not, not to mention Obama's ability to veto if something does pass both chambers. If Democrats and Republicans continue to try and do what is in their best interests instead of what is best for the country, then the country will continue to fall. Congressmen and Senators-elect better realize that the people are upset, and if they do not deliver, they will all be one-termers. Perhaps even a third party will come to become more prominent if lack of production continues.
On a state level, Rick Scott recently won the election for governor of Florida. I don't like the guy's past at all, but I wish him luck as governor, and maybe he can do something about the state economy. My view on him is permanently tarnished, but if he does well, it may not necessarily be bad. Marco Rubio also won the Senate seat in Florida. I also did not vote for him, but one of the main reasons I didn't was that I knew little about his policies. Perhaps they will be helpful and beneficial to both the state and the country. Again, I wish him luck.
On a local level, I'm so tired of Connie Mack. I would say good luck, but I know the bum is just going to disappear for two years, then come back for re-election. If he changes that somehow, then I can start talking about well wishing. School board races went well except Pat Carroll won again. That sucks (my opinion). Not much more to say about local.
And if you are not Floridian, I would love to hear election perspectives from the respective state in which you reside! Almost every state had some kind of fun occur in it. Feel free to discuss.
Tl;dr The election was crazy man, what do you think of it?
