Well, I thought that if Liz could make a rant, then so can I.
Neversoft got off in the perfectly wrong foot. For those that have played GH 1 & GH 2, you may understand what's wrong with GH3:
1. Hammer-ons/pull-offs are too easy.
2. Note charts are not quite right.
*Some are off.
*Too many notes where these shouldn’t go (i.e. The ending for re-recorded "Anarchy in the U.K.")
*Three-button chords in "Expert" mode which are more annoying than challenging.
*Non-guitar parts are played as guitar (i.e. Dragonforce’s song)
3. Anyone else feel attacked when the "You Rock!" sign appears?
4. The characters are not the same.
*They seem more like criminals on parole rather than guitarists on their late-teens/20s.
*Neversoft turned Izzy Sparks (my 2nd favorite character on GH2 for its eccentric look) into a feminine cross-dresser.
*No Pandora, Eddie, nor Clive! D: Instead we got a robot, God, and some fat guy that does that Disco dance after playing "Raining Blood" >.>
5. Only 4 DLCs (from the few that were released) seem worthy of downloading, and probably the Velvet Revolver downloads too.
6. The GH franchise is appearing onto everything, even phones! Next thing you know, they'll make "Guitar Hero: Boardgame Edition."
7.Lastly, Magazines instead of newspapers? I’d take black and white newspapers with the heading as "Loud party, neighbor complaints, police involved, " "Impressive show from band name here at some place" that made you feel like you accomplished something... rather than a magazine with a title as "Song Title. Date that song was released. Percentage." It doesn't get any more stale and awkward than that.
