Hey everyone! Well folks, the big show is nearly upon us: E3 2010. To me, this has always been one of the most exciting media events of the year, and has always been a blast to follow. As most of you know, E3 is the largest video game convention of the year, and it more or less reveals what the video game industry will look like in the not-so-distant future. The big three console companies and essentially every relevant game developer reveal to the public what they have been working on, whether it be more information on an existing project, or new announcements entirely. One of my favorite parts of E3 is that there are surprises around every corner!
There are big questions to ask for this year's show. What new information will we learn about Microsoft and Sony's motion controls Natal and Move? how will Nintendo respond? Speaking of Nintendo, what shall we expect from the 3DS? Are any new consoles or handhelds going to be announced? A rush of game sequels will be on display during the show, as well as quite a few new franchises ready to show their stuff. And, of course, what surprises await us at E3? Microsoft, Nintendo, and Sony all undoubtedly have some secret ammunition up their sleeves, and are probably practicing how to present it at this very moment. Like I said, it's always quite the exciting show!
So, long story short, post here about E3 2010!

It starts on Monday, that's all I know though. The games I'm really hoping to hear about are The Last Guardian, and Final Fantasy Versus XIII. These are two games that look terrific from companies I'm really big on. Other titles that I would really like to see are Littlebigplanet 2, Legend of Zelda Wii, Castlevania: Lord of Shadows, Marvel Vs. Capcom 3, and Metal Gear Rising. I also want to see what Capcom has to unveil at this year's show. I'm hoping Natal is something wonderful, and I'm curious to see if the Move won't be a total let down. All in all, this should be a very exciting show, and I can't wait to see what we're in store for!

Well, I finally saw the entirety of Microsoft's conference. All in all, while I think it was one of their weaker shows, I'd have to say it wasn't all bad. I was a little disappointed that there were not as many announcements on some of their games as I had hoped, but that announcement of the new "slim 360" was pretty neat. If Gamestop does one of their console trade-in deals or something, i may consider it. Kinect (formerly Natal), however, has me very concerned. It seems somewhat useful for things like messenger and movies, but the gaming aspect of it looked kind of weak. People have been using the term "Wii HD" for Playstation's Move, and Kinect looks like it could follow a similar path with launch titles like those. Kinect's technology certainly is a little more advanced than the Wii's current technology, but will that equate to better games? Anybody have a take on this?
Oh, and I didn't see Ubisoft's conference. if anyone wants to share what it was about, please do.
