Holy FUCK taco!
I was worried that the book wouldn't make a good transition onto the silver screen, honestly. But that movie had to be the best i've seen in a good long while now!
Post your opinions and such about the movie most of us saw the other night.

Yeah, the movie exceeded my expectations as well. Heck, I even claim that it is the most I've laughed at a movie since Hot Fuzz, a movie that is tops in comedy, in my own opinion. So yeah, I would say it was a great movie in the company of other great movies I have seen in theaters this year.

I saw it yesterday. It was great... I wanna finish reading the comics though and see how much it differs. I've read the first 3 and I have to admit that the movie differs enough to where it is still following the comics but it isn't just a completely dull rehash. I like some differences. The Vegan police scene was one of the best. lol

So awesome! So Todd Ingram was not as much of a dick as he was in the comics... That disappointed me a little but the Julie chick made up with it because of her constant bleeping out. So funny.

Yes, a very hilarious movie indeed. However, after much deliberation on which Edgar Wright movie in recent memory is best, I may have to go with Hot Fuzz. Why? Well, think of the elements of Scott Pilgrim and Shaun of the Dead: Video game/comic book references and zombies. Right up most of our allies. Hot Fuzz, on the other hand, had elements of British Police and Point Break references (and action movie references, which I suppose hit a sweet spot with most of us as well, but not as much as the elements of the other two films). SP v. TW and SotD had a major advantage over Hot Fuzz in this regard, but Hot Fuzz still came up just as big, which is pretty neat.

This was a terrific movie. I get the feeling that someone who doesn't play games, or know the industry might not appreciate the jokes so much, but for those who do have such knowledge, I'm pretty sure this movie will come off as a lot funnier. This is one I'll probably end up buying when it releases.
