Chapter 5: Clareon -The Oil Rich Planet- <Okay, looks like I need fuel again… Ah, Clareon. This place has an excessive amount.> Sevik landed upon the planet Clareon. The sky was gloomy, a grayish color. He was greeted by six people standing a triangle formation when he stepped out. “The hell do you want?” Sevik said the man in front, who appeared to be the group leader. The man leading the group was quiet for a moment. He chewed the gum in his mouth. “Well, if you wanna get off without gettin’ hurt, you’ll give your ship and your money.” He said to Sevik. Sevik gave him a hard stare. “Tell you what. You get off my back, and you won’t die tonight.” He said. The leader of the gang looked back at Sevik. “Look, I’m Drago. I was sent by our leader Maximo. You see, he’s not a patient man, so if you wanna keep your life, you better listen.” Drago said to Sevik. “Listen to this.” Sevik said as he drove a fist right through Drago. He took Drago’s gun and fired at the other five men. “I don’t do that three strikes bullshit, so you’re fucked now because you didn’t listen to me the first time.” Sevik said to him. He put Drago down. <Well, that didn’t take me long, did it?> he thought. <Something’s up here> he thought to himself. “Shit, forgot my tank…” Sevik said as he headed back to his ship. He grabbed the tank he was given to hold fuel, and headed back out. <So, where do I go?> he wondered. He looked down an alley and saw a man in a suit being attacked by another gang. <Damn, he might know where I need to go.> Sevik thought to himself. He pulled his own handguns out this time, and ran toward the group. “Sorry, but I need this man alive.” He said to one of the gang members. “Why’s that?!” he snarled at Sevik. “Suit yourself.” Sevik said as he shot the entire group down. The suited man crawled up to Sevik. “Th-th-thank you sir.” He said to Sevik. <Dammit!! Again?!?!?> Sevik thought in outrage. “You’ll call me Knives if you want to keep your life. Though I saved it, that doesn't mean it's too late to take it.” Sevik said. “Mayor I presume?” he asked. The mayor was shuddering. “Y-y-yes... Knives.” He stood up. “I’m Diego, Mayor of Colson. Is there anything you need?” he asked Sevik. Sevik gave Diego a blank look. “Fuel for a spaceship. A lot of it.” Sevik said. Diego stood silent for a moment. “There’s a bit of running around you’ll have to do before you can create your fuel.” He said to Sevik. <Hmm, hadn't anticipated that one...> Sevik thought. “Just get to the point. Tell me what I need to do, and I'll do it.” he said with a cool tone. “Yes Knives, it’s a bit of a tedious task. It starts with gathering yourself a lot of oil first.” Diego said. “Look, I don’t plan on staying here very long. I told you I'll take your life, so hurry up and get to the point.” Sevik said sharply. Diego was frightened by Sevik’s reaction “Okay, get oil, and I mean a lot. Let's see here, gather some water, let it wait overnight and you've got it made. The thing about the oil here is that its a special type. It's chemical properties seem to change in the sunlight. So basically, if you leave it out overnight, and sleep in, you'll have fresh fuel in the morning. It’s night now, so you’d have to hurry if you want the whole sleep in deal.” Diego said. Sevik thought for a moment. "Hmm, so where do I find this special oil?" he asked. Diego pointed toward a mine. "My guess is that it'd be in that area. I've never gone to do it, but I know of some sort of supply in that area." he said. "Well then, looks like I've a mine to explore." Sevik replied, and started walking toward the mine.

Chapter 5, Part 2
Sevik made his way into the mine where he was greeted by complete darkness. <Well, that might make things a bit harder... Eh, turning back isn't an option though, it seems.> he thought to himself. He felt his way around the area, reaching for walls, feeling for feet placement, and the like. A mysterious light glowed, and Sevik immediately began following it. <The hell is that?> he wondered. As he approached it, the light seemed to grow brighter, to a point where everything in the area was visible. <Something just isn't right here.> he continued thinking. He kept feeling his way across the wall, until his hand passed by what felt like a scale. "What have we here?" he asked out loud, slamming his fist into the green scaly substance. The light went out, and a loud hissing was heard. <Hmm, I think I just pissed my light off...> Sevik thought. The hissing noise grew closer to him, and he looked into the direction that it was coming from. "C'mon, where are ya?" he said, anticipating the creature's move. He reached out slowly, and heard a jump toward him. He quickly clutched his fist, in hopes to get a hold on the creature, but his left arm was bitten by the beast. "Where and what the fuck are you?!?" he shouted. He quickly grasped the beast with his right hand, ripped it off of his arm, and rammed his fist into the closest wall, the light came back on. "Better..." he said. He looked at the beast, which appeared with greenish scaled skin, piercing red eyes, four legs, an extremely long tail, and somewhat of a light source at the tip of its tail. <I've never heard of you before...> Sevik thought. He stepped onto the stomach of the beast, and he ripped off the tail and the head. "Looks like I have my flashlight." he said jokingly. He continued through the mine, and eventually found a place that looked soft enough to dig. <Hmm, maybe...> Sevik thought. He started his dig downward, and found a thick, black substance. "Looks like I've found what I came here for..." he said. He took a container from both of his sides and filled them each up with the substance. <Guess I'm done here.> he thought, and headed out of the mine, and toward the inn. He paid for the night, headed to his room, and put both containers on the window sill, leaving them open. "Ehh, finally, time for a moment's reprieve." he said quietly, and drifted off to sleep. Morning rose, and Sevik looked over to the window, seeing that the two containers were still there. He then looked to his left arm, which was completely swollen. <Fuck!! I can't believe I didn't treat that!!> he thought remembering he was bit while in the mine. He took his dagger, and carefully started cutting the skin from the swollen areas. <Dammit, dammit, dammit!!!> he thought. After all the swollen skin was cut from his arm, he thoroughly washed it with excessive amounts of soap and water. He then dried it off, and kept it covered by his sleeve. He grabbed the two oil containers, closed them, and headed for his space ship. He refueled, and went through the door. "Ahh, one step closer now." he said, and took off for his next destination.

Wow... My blood's all pumpin' and my adrenaline's rushin'! Please tell me you will write more at some point. I know you're busy and all, but if you catch a break, you should totally write more. Sevik is so badass. He reminds me of a mixture of Kiros and Vash the Stampede, but also a bit of Seifer and Sephiroth. And the atmosphere reminds me of Cowboy Bebop or Star Ocean, something like that. I'm sure you can see my connection. :] But yeah, that's hella cool! You should write more if you get the chance. Your descriptions are very lucid. Good Job!
